Home Inspiration from Bluebell

To make a house a home, we firmly believe that you have to get your kitchen right. Whether yours is the busy heart of a family house, a quiet space for slow Sunday cooking, or an open plan room built around entertaining, the kitchen sets the tone for how the whole home feels. After more than thirty years of designing, making and fitting bespoke kitchens across Cheshire and South Manchester, we have learned a thing or two about what makes a kitchen work — and where people get stuck.
Start with the room, not the catalogue
The biggest single mistake we see is choosing kitchen units first and hoping they fit the room. A bespoke kitchen starts the other way around: with the room itself. We look at where the light falls, how the doors open, where the awkward corner sits and how your family actually moves between the kettle, the fridge and the table. Only then do we design the furniture — because made-to-measure means the kitchen fits the room, not the other way around. No templates, no off-the-shelf pieces, nothing compromised to make a standard cabinet width work where it should not.
The details that lift a kitchen
It is the details that separate a good kitchen from one you love. In-frame shaker doors with brushed brass piano hinges, as we fitted on a recent commission in Bowdon, give a classic feel with real presence. A bespoke cornice can visually lift a low ceiling — something we designed and made for a client whose ceiling height was slightly lower than standard, and the cornice elongated the whole room. An island designed around your dining table, integrated wine racks and bookshelf storage, a Quooker tap giving boiling, chilled and sparkling water at the touch of a button: these are the things you notice every day, for years.
Colour with confidence
Clients often tell us they are nervous about colour — and then, with the right advice, choose exactly the blues, greys and two-tone combinations they were worried about. Deep blue cabinetry with muted whites and greys, stone worktops with gold touches, a tambour unit in a contrasting finish: colour gives a bespoke kitchen its character. Because you see your kitchen in 3D renders before it is built, there is no need to imagine how it will look — you approve the design with your eyes, not just your faith in us.
See it before you build it
The best way to find your inspiration is to see our work in person. Our showroom at 81-83 Washway Road in Sale includes The Apartment — a walk-through display of a kitchen, bedroom, bar, living area and media room, all built and installed by our own team. Browse our gallery, visit us, and when you are ready, book a free design consultation. We would love to help you design the kitchen your home deserves.
